Headquarters names annual award winners

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Air Force Materiel Command civilian and military personnel were recognized Feb. 15 at the 2005 Annual Civilian and Military Award Recognition Breakfast presided over by Lt. Gen. Terry Gabreski, AFMC vice commander.

Approximately 200 people attended the breakfast, which recognizes the "cream of the crop" from the civilian, enlisted and officer ranks at headquarters. The event was held at Wright-Patt Club and Banquet Center. The 10 winners for the annual awards beat out a field of 61 nominees chosen from 10 categories.

In the civilian categories, Julie Broadway, of the Commander's Support Staff, won for Category 1 (for grades GS-1 through GS-8).

Alice Rohrbach, from the Surgeon General's office, took Category II (GS-9 to GS-12). Category III (GS-13 and above), was won by Emilio Varcarcel, from the Directorate of Intelligence and Requirements.

Among the military, Airman 1st Class Shea Dodson, from the Directorate of Personnel, took the award in the Airman Category. The Noncommissioned Officer Category was won by Tech. Sgt. David Bourgeios of the Surgeon General's office. The Senior Noncommissioned Officer Category was won by Master Sgt. Dennis Douglas, from the Directorate of Intelligence and Requirements.

In the Company Grade Officer Category, Capt. Cecila Montes de Oca, also from the Directorate of Intelligence and Requirements, was the winner.

The Outstanding Noncommissioned Officer Individual Mobilization Augmentee, or IMA, Category was won by Tech. Sgt. Donald Campbell while the Outstanding Senior Noncommissioned Officer IMA Category was taken by Master Sgt. Jeffery Fisher, both from the Directorate of Logistics and Sustainment.

The Outstanding Officer IMA Category was won by Lt. Col. Gary Hopper from the Directorate of Installations and Mission Support.
