WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Due to the implementation of Health Protection Condition Charlie, the Wright Patterson Veterinary Treatment Facility has changed hours of operation and operating procedures.

The clinic is now open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and closed for lunch, noon until 1 p.m.

Appointments will continue to be scheduled for health certificates, prescription management support, rabies compliance and wellness for patients that fall into a vulnerable situation such as juvenile immunization boosters.

All other appointments will be taken into consideration and to determine if telemedicine is possible. The clinic may recommend your pet be seen at an off base veterinarian for care.

As a precautionary measure for the safety of both staff and customers, customers will not be allowed to enter the facility. Appointments and medication pickup procedures are as follows:

  • For prescriptions, pet owners must call in advance. During the call a pick up time will be scheduled and payment will be made at the time of the call.
  • For both appointments and prescription pick up, upon arrival please wait in your car and call the clinic to let them know you have arrived. You may also knock on the front door to signal your arrival then return to your car.

For appointments, once the clinic has been notified of your arrival, a staff member will come out to the car and request a brief health history of your pet. The staff member will then take your pet inside and call you during your pet’s appointment for a more detailed history and to speak with the veterinarian.

The clinic asks that if you are not feeling well, please reschedule your appointment. For additional information or to call in a prescription or make an appointment, call the clinic at (937) 257-6853.
