Team Tinker,

For 1 April, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Charlie due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  A newly confirmed case in 76 CMXG in building 9001 was a symptomatic member placed into quarantine on 16 March with the test confirmed on 31 March.  The 72nd Medical Group public health officials continue to trace the member’s recent movements and contacts in conjunction with affected units and local health authorities. Anyone considered to have been exposed to increased risk will be contacted directly. Anyone believing they may have been exposed can contact the 24 hour COVID-19 Hotline: 405-582-6297.

We’ve received additional guidance from the Secretary of Defense discussing our role during COVID-19: “As we do our part to mitigate the effects of this pandemic, we must remain prepared to carry out our core national security missions. Our adversaries may look to exploit this crisis, as much of the world' s attention is directed toward the coronavirus. Together, we are doing what the Department has done throughout its entire history - adapting, innovating, and demonstrating why the American people call on the United States military during the most trying times.”

Worth note is the pediatric clinic has moved location AND has new hours. The pediatric clinic is now at Bldg. 3334, and is operating Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The front desk can be reached at 405-582-6176.

Tinker’s Helping Agencies are still here for you during this time. It’s important to take care of our community whether you are at work, teleworking or on admin leave. Over the next several weeks, we will be conducting a resiliency campaign. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes released.

Do you have non-medical related COVID-19 concerns or questions to base leadership you wish to have answered? You may reach out to the Straight Talk Center at 405-734-2567. The hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Information on positive cases, travel movement, hours of operation, gate hours, base closures and more can be found on www.tinker.af.mil/coronavirus/

REMINDER: For those who believe they may have been exposed can contact the 24 hour COVID-19 Hotline: 405-582-6297. If you have been exposed to the coronavirus, do NOT come to the base. Return home and contact your Primary Care Doctor or the hotline. To keep safe as possible, please limit any travel to just work, groceries, medical, and outdoor exercise like running, biking and calisthenics.
