The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center was a central part of conversations during Air Force Materiel Command's semi-annual senior leaders conference Sept. 1 and 2. AFMC Commander Gen. Donald J. Hoffman led discussions emphasizing the command's role in sustaining the Air Force nuclear arsenal. AFNWC is an AFMC unit tasked with managing and maintaning these nuclear assets.

DAYTON, Ohio (AFMCNS) – Gen Donald Hoffman, commander of Air Force Materiel Command, converses with Lt Col José Aguinaldo de Moura , commander of Brazil’s Esquadrilha da Fumaça, or “Smoke Squadron.” The Brazilian Smoke Squadron performed July 18 and 19 at the 2009 Vectren Dayton Air Show at the Dayton International Airport. General Hoffman met with Colonel Moura’s team, which is known for its fast-paced, close-up aerobatics and smoke displays, after its Saturday performance.
