Brig. Gen. Lyle K. Drew is the Director of Logistics, Civil Engineering, Force Protection, and Nuclear Integration, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He directs policy and procedures for field and depot-level aircraft and commodities maintenance, nuclear weapon systems sustainment, software engineering, conventional munitions, logistics plans, transportation, supply chain operations and management, civil engineering, force protection and logistics information technology activities. Brig. Gen. Drew is the lead command integrator for life-cycle sustainment, product support and acquisition logistics across the Air Force weapon systems portfolio. Furthermore, he provides infrastructure and functional support to the United States Space Force.
Brig. Gen. Drew entered the Air Force through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Purdue University in 1994. He has held a variety of positions in aircraft maintenance, acquisition program management and professional military education.
Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Drew served as Commander, 82nd Training Wing and Installation Commander, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, where he was responsible for the training of more than 65,000 officers and enlisted Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and international students annually at Sheppard AFB and more than 60 geographically separated units worldwide.
