AFIMSC disaster recovery team responds to Hurricane Ian

From left, Scott Peaceman and John Dunn help team lead Maj. Allen Lewis load the Disaster Recovery Response Team trailer at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Sept. 29. The team traveled to MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, to help stabilize the installation after Hurricane Ian made landfall. The self-contained team packs everything it needs to operate and live independently while deployed. The rest of the team is made up of experts throughout the Air Force Civil Engineer Center who bring a variety of skillsets, including programmers, estimators and facility assessment specialists, to help an installation recover and rebuild after a natural disaster.
