Major General VIRGINIA I. GAGLIO

Major General Virginia Gaglio is the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She assists the Commander and staff on issues impacting the Air National Guard related to warfighter support achieved through leading-edge science and technology, cradle-to- grave life cycle weapon systems management, world-class developmental test and evaluation and world-class depot maintenance and supply chain management.

Prior to her current assignment, she was the Chief of Staff and Commander of the Massachusetts Air National Guard and was dual- hatted as the Vice Director, Manpower and Personnel (J-1), National Guard Bureau. She has served in Operations NORTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. General Gaglio received her commission through the Academy of Military Science program at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Technical Education Center in September 1992, where she was a distinguished graduate.
