Timothy D. West

Mr. Timothy D. “Batman” West, a member of the Senior Executive Service, serves as Deputy Director, Air, Space and Cyberspace Operations, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. In this capacity, he is the principal assistant to the Director, responsible for shaping the workforce and infrastructure to test, field and sustain agile war-winning capabilities. He also oversees the command’s policy and resource allocation for test operations, flight management, airfield services, weather services and command and control operations.

Mr. West began his Air Force career in 1991 as a Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. During his 29 years of active-duty service, he held diverse technical and leadership positions, including command assignments in science and technology, test and evaluation, and program management. He is a resident graduate of the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School, Air Command and Staff College and Air War College.

Following his entry into the federal civilian service in 2021, Mr. West served as a test and evaluation subject matter expert on the Headquarters, Air Force Research Laboratory staff and later in Headquarters, Air Force Materiel Command. He entered the Senior Executive Service in April 2025.
