Ms. Amanda Gentry, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Director of the Integrated Development Office at Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. In this role, she leads the acquisition integration of capability development across the Air Force, informing $100B annually of modernization priorities and shaping acquisition tradespace and strategies. The Integrated Development Office performs mission engineering, trade-space analysis, technical maturation, experimentation and prototyping to guide investment decisions and accelerate delivery to the warfighter. The office orchestrates capability development across the enterprise through a data-driven, systems-of-systems approach, shifting from optimizing individual platforms toward integrating solutions across end-to-end missions to generate overarching effects. Ms. Gentry oversees a direct annual budget of more than $400 million and directs the activities of more than 200 personnel.
Ms. Gentry began her federal service career in 2001 as an associate materials engineer for the Air Force Research Laboratory. She has held many management and technical positions within the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, the Secretary of Air Force’s Office for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. She has been a member of the Senior Executive Service since 2021. Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Gentry served as the Director of the Sensors Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
