Locations where AFMC has personnelThe Air Force Materiel Command is critical to the defense of our Nation. Headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, AFMC personnel work across six centers at multiple locations across the U.S. and globe. 

What do we do?

    • We research, develop, test, and evaluate new technology.
    • We buy and test the Air Force’s conventional and nuclear weapons systems.  
    • We sustain and maintain the Air Force’s weapons systems to preserve and expand a competitive edge for the warfighter.
    • We build, maintain, secure, and provide critical services to our Air Force and Space Force installations. 
    • We are six integrated, collaborative centers united in accomplishing a mission that deters aggression and prevails when conflict may call.
