  • Published
Gen. Janet Wolfenbarger, commander of Air Force Materiel Command, meets with a group of local Vietnam War veterans on July 9, 2012. David Fuchs (from left), Steve Ratcliffe, Wolfenbarger, Richard Barazzotto and Tom Istvan pose for a photo during the small gathering in the general's office. The veterans are four of the five who were selected to participate in the 2012 AFMC Freedom's Call Tattoo ceremony. Wolfenbarger invited the group to meet with her following the cancellation of the event due to severe weather. The theme of this year's Tattoo was "Service, Honor and Sacrifice" and was intended to commemorate the veterans who served their country during the Vietnam War. According to Tattoo Director Dave Egner, plans are already in progress to make their service a centerpiece of the next Tattoo.
