AFMC Freedom's Call Tattoo 2011: At a Glance

Air Force Materiel Command Freedom's Call Tattoo 2011 is just around the corner. The free, family-friendly event is set for Friday, June 24, which is only a month away.

This year's theme of 'Defending Liberty ... Home and Abroad' honors the men and women who served their country during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as those who continue to serve in today's operations. The night will also include a special tribute recognizing the 10th year since the Sept. 11 attack.

Here's a rundown of event information to help you prepare for this spectacular summer celebration.

WHERE: Grounds of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio

WHEN: Friday, June 24, 2011

ADMISSION: Free and open to the public

TIMELINE: 4:00 p.m. Gates open 

                   4:30 p.m. Tech Tent, Family Zone and onsite displays open 

                   5:00 p.m. Opening band takes stage 

                   8:00 p.m. Tattoo ceremony begins! 

                   9:00 p.m. Special Guest Performer 'Lonestar' takes stage 

                  10:00 p.m. World-class fireworks display
