New video gives snapshot of complex AFMC mission

From researching groundbreaking technology to maintaining the Air Force fleet of aircraft, Air Force Materiel Command has the most diverse mission in the Air Force. And now, with the release of the official command video, anyone can learn more about that mission. View here.

Clocking in at just under five minutes, it highlights AFMC's four core mission areas: Science and Technology, Acquisition Management, Test and Evaluation and Sustainment. It also highlight's AFMC's responsibility to sustain the Air Force's nuclear arsenal.

The video chronicles the people, places and programs that support these mission areas and help AFMC carry out cradle-to-grave management of warfighting systems.

This broad review of the command allows the video's message to reach a variety of audiences.

"Everyone from members of the AFMC work force to the general public should find it informative and even fun to watch," said Ron Fry, AFMC Director of Public Affairs. "AFMC is so big and diverse that explaining what we do can be challenging. But this video does a good job of delivering the bottom-line story."

The video was created in-house by the AFMC Public Affairs staff at minimal cost.
