Air Force Materiel Command announced its top enlisted Airmen during the command's 2010 Annual Enlisted Awards Banquet April 22 at the Eglin Officers' Club.

The theme for this year's banquet was 'Honoring Excellence, Celebrating Family,' chosen to highlight the Air Force's designation of the Year of the Air Force Family.

Gen. Donald Hoffman, AFMC commander, along with commanders, command chiefs and headquarters AFMC senior staff, were among the 269 people gathered to honor the nominees and winners.

Forty-six nominees from throughout AFMC's headquarters, centers and specialized units were nominated to compete in four separate categories -- Airman, non-commissioned officer, senior NCO and first sergeant.

The winners are:

Airman Category -- Senior Airman Colin S. Mayo, Headquarters Cryptologic Systems Group, Lackland AFB, Texas

Non-Commissioned Officer Category -- Tech. Sgt. Michael G. Becker, 96th Civil Engineering Squadron, Eglin AFB, Fla.

Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Category -- Master Sgt. James P. Mogren, 72nd Security Forces Squadron, Tinker AFB, Okla.

First Sergeant Category -- Master Sgt. John W. Deegan, 75th Civil Engineer Squadron, Hill AFB, Utah

The winners now advance to compete in the United States Air Force Twelve Outstanding Airmen of the Year and First Sergeant of the Year competitions held later this year.
