AFMC announces winners of the 2018 Communication Excellence Awards Published Nov. 9, 2018 By AFMC Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Air Force Materiel Command is proud to announce the 2018 winners of the AFMC Public Affairs Communication Excellence Awards. These accomplishments mark each as best in AFMC in their respective categories, in telling the Air Force story. The following winning entries were sent to Air Force Public Affairs to compete with other major command winners as best in the Air Force: -The Brig Gen. Harry J. Dalton Jr. Award for best overall communication program – 66th Air Base Group Public Affairs, Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. -The Maj Henry H. “Hap” Arnold Award for communication effectiveness – 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. -Best Innovation – 78th Air Base Wing Public Affairs, Robins AFB, Georgia. -Outstanding Communication Airman (E-1 to E-4) -- Senior Airman Holly E. Ardern, 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. -Staff Sgt. Christopher S. Frost Outstanding Noncommissioned Officer (E-5 to E-6) -- Staff Sgt. Brandi L. Hansen, 40th Flight Test Squadron Public Affairs, Eglin AFB, Florida. -Outstanding Senior Noncommissioned Officer (E-7 to E-8) – Master Sgt. Michael L. Jackson, 40th Flight Test Squadron Public Affairs, Eglin AFB, Florida. -Outstanding Communication, Civilian Category I (GS-5 to GS-9 or equivalent) -- Jonathan E. Bell, 78th Air Base Wing Public Affairs, Robins AFB, Georgia. -Outstanding Communication Civilian, Category II (GS-10 to GS-12 or equivalent) -- Jessica M. Casserly, 66th Air Base Group Public Affairs, Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. -Outstanding Communication Civilian, Category III (GS-13 to GS-14 or equivalent) -- Patricia Welsh, 66th Air Base Group Public Affairs, Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. The command will be represented at the Air Force level by these Airmen.
