HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Three Air Force Life Cycle Management Center personnel were award recipients during the AFCEA International Conference held earlier this month in Baltimore.
Senior Executive Service member Joe Bradley, director of the Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapons Systems and associate director of Engineering and Technical Management at Hanscom, won an Excellence in Engineering award.
Maj. Kate Stow, a Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks Special Program Division program manager, received the 2018 Medal of Merit Award. Pat Marr, director of Acquisition Excellence at Operating Location Hanscom, received the 2018 Meritorious Service Award.
Stowe received the award for “demonstrating outstanding dedication to the AFCEA mission and spearheading several endeavors to raise funds supporting current as well as new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math initiatives.”
“Through her involvement with AFCEA and Hanscom Air Force Base events, Kate Stowe has demonstrated to young Air Force officers, Airmen and government civilians how AFCEA can positively affect professional development,” said Marr, AFCEA Lexington-Concord Chapter president.
Stowe has previously received the AFCEA Regional Distinguished Young AFCEAN in 2009, Young AFCEAN Emerging Leader in 2011 and the Meritorious Service Award in 2015.
Marr received his award for “incomparable dedication and exceptional record of extraordinary achievement to the Lexington-Concord Chapter.”
“Over the past five years, Pat Marr has been a true visionary, enthusiastic motivator and exceptional leader who has significantly bolstered our chapter’s success and enhanced our strategic partnerships,” said Pat Dagle, Lexington-Concord Chapter chairman of the board.
Dagle added that Marr dramatically enhanced chapter membership by 200 and fortified industry and government partnerships within the Hanscom acquisition community.
“Over the past five years, Marr was an indispensable chapter proponent spearheading numerous events and raising thousands of dollars to sustain chapter scholarships,” said Dagle.
