Editor’s note: The Team AEDC Frontlines series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the members of Team AEDC on the “frontlines” supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.

Amy Foster is the Arnold Engineering Development Complex Director of Contracting. Foster, who arrived at Arnold Air Force Base in March 2007 after being transferred from Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, provides the AEDC command with planning, policy development, management and supervision of all aspects of AEDC contracting activities. She manages a wide range of complex business and contracting issues at this outsourced operation including operating locations at White Oak, Maryland, and Moffett Field, California. She also oversees contracting operations for the 704th Test Group at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico.

Foster’s role on the Arnold AFB Crisis Action Team, formed to address issues on base arising as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, is to advise the AEDC Commander and senior leaders on contract-related issues.

“My experience on the Crisis Action Team has been challenging; these are unprecedented times. The Crisis Action Team is critical to the success of AEDC during this time. The good news is that we have an incredible leadership team who truly cares about the people first and is absolutely committed to always considering the impact to Team AEDC employees first.”

Amy, thank you for all you do for Team AEDC!
