Tinker Frontlines: Meet Senior Airman Elijah Drake

Senior Airman Elijah Drake is a vehicle search area member with the 72nd Security Forces Squadron and has been in the Air Force for two and a half years.

The Airman from Midwest City, Oklahoma, enjoys making music, gaming and spending time with his friends.

Some of his duties include working the overwatch table at the Truck Gate by checking temperatures, running information through their database, searching for ammunition, narcotics or weapons in vehicles and using an explosives detector to search for chemical properties on vehicles.

Drake said the best part of his job is the people he works with because they’re easy to bond with and have become like family. “The people you work with make the job,” he says.
