AFLCMC-Hanscom personnel garner awards during virtual AFCEA conference

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Three Air Force Life Cycle Management Center personnel at Hanscom Air Force Base were award recipients during the virtual AFCEA TechNet Cyber Symposium, Nov. 30.

Stephen Falcone, Digital director of Engineering, received the AFCEA International’s Distinguished Award for Excellence in Engineering.

“Steve Falcone is a truly exceptional Department of Defense engineer who epitomizes sustained excellence in engineering,” said AFCEA Lexington-Concord Chapter’s former chairman of the board Patrick Marr.

He received the award for “an illustrious career of service in a broad range of military and senior engineering management positions building a legacy of substantive contributions to national defense in collaboration with industry and academia.” He was previously presented with AFCEA’s Leadership Award in 2016.

Joseph Pridotkas, formerly the chief of the Acquisition Intelligence Division for AFLCMC, received the Meritorious Service to the Intelligence Community award.

He received the award for “leading threat support and intelligence supportability analysis for more than 300 battle management, C2 [command and control] threat support and cryptologic programs.”

Patrick Dagle, former Lexington-Concord Chapter Board chairman, commended Pridotkas for his “invaluable contributions to the Intelligence community.”

Marco Zompetti, Digital Airborne Warning and Control System Division program manager, received the Leadership Award.

Zompetti received the award for “stellar leadership and commitment to Lexington-Concord and AFCEA International for more than 15 years.” 

He previously received AFCEA’s Medal of Merit in 2018, Meritorious Service Award in 2012, as well as numerous quarterly awards throughout the past 14 years.

“Marco Zompetti leads by example. He’s a man for all seasons who has continued to be a star on our Lexington-Concord team,” said Marr.
