EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- A mobility technology company and AFWERX awardee, Skypad, provided a demonstration to Eglin military and civilians May 2 near Fort Walton Beach.
The Mobile Optical System technology the Skypad Team built for the Air Force aims to provide Airman and users with custom data visualization technology for Blue UAS. The new product creates a seamless training to operational environment that allows rapid technology adoption. The product can also be streamed live with low latency, allowing multiple users to engage with the drone operator.
Skypad has already provided use cases for Air Force Research Lab, AFWERX, security forces, and DARPA.
The demonstration was part of the Air Force Chief Data and AI office’s Autonomy Data and AI Experimentation proving ground effort, which aims to accelerate development and experimentation with companies like Skypad.
The 96th Test Wing hosts the ADAX program at Eglin.
