Connecting for homeland defense
Two F-16C Fighting Falcons from the 115th Fighter Wing, Wisconsin Air
National Guard, fly a routine training mission in the skies over Wisconsin in
2008. A program office at Hanscom AFB, Mass., recently completed fielding of
a system that will provide tactical data link messaging between aircraft
such as these and continental United States air defense sectors to improve
homeland defense. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Paul Gorman)
