Ted Brooks attempts to transfer a fire he built after participating in a fire craft training exercise held at the Initial Survival Training course May 15, 2012. Brooks was one of seven aircrew members that participated in the three-and-a-half-day IST course that teaches non-combat level survival skills that aircrew will need in case they have to bailout or ditch in an unknown environment.
