Air Force Marathon attracts nearly 10,000 runners

John Moore of Centerville, Ohio, crosses the finish line after completing the U.S. Air Force Marathon Sept. 19, 2009 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Moore was paralyzed from the waist down in Septermber 2008 during an accident following the passage of Hurricane Ike. He remains a firefighter with the city of Kettering, where he supports educational outreach. He finished the 26.2 miles averaging just over 5 minutes per mile.
