WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio — Glass is thrown on the dash of a vehicle parked near the National Air and Space Intelligence Center after a tree crashed through its windshield, following a sever thunderstorm Aug. 3. The storm packed winds recorded at more than 70 miles an hour. A number of trees and limbs were blown down throughout the base. Some buildings experienced structural damage, and many base members were forced to deal with power outages. Emergency crews were deployed following the storm, and base civil engineering crews spent long hours over the weekend cleaning up debris. (Air Force photos by Hector Cruz)
