HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — John Shuma, 28, an aircraft electrician contractor with L3 Communications, rewires the cockpit of an A-10. The work is part of the Precision Engagement modification program Hill’s 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group is handling. Once completed, the aircraft will include 10 new components, while another 12 will be upgraded. The modifications are designed to facilitate the use of smart munitions and update the cockpit so it’s more in line with that of its F-16 brethren. (Air Force Photo by G. A. Volb)
