ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. — Barbara Lee Monday, wife of sports announcer and former major leaguer Rick Monday, and her brother James Casciari came to Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) to commemorate the famous incident where Mr. Monday stopped a Vietnam War protestor from burning the American Flag at a Dodgers/Cubs game in 1976. The original flag recovered by Mr. Monday was draped in front of the Administrative & Engineering Building flagpole, while another flag flown in Iraq was raised. (Air Force photo)
