AFMC commander receives NDIA top honor

General Ellen Pawlikowski, Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, receives the General James V. Hartinger Award from Mrs. Mickie Hartinger at the National Defense Industrial Association, Rocky Mountain Ball here Sep. 9. The Hartinger Award, named for the first commander of Air Force Space Command, is given annually by the Rocky Mountain NDIA chapter to recognize individuals for their outstanding achievement in the military space mission of the United States. Previous Hartinger Award winners also attended the event, including retired General "Chuck" Horner, who directed the air campaign during Operation Desert Storm.
