AEDC engineers Ashley Clark, right, and Tracy McDonald, check the performance of a welding machine at the Model and Machine Shop as part of the preventative maintenance program for the machines. Clark and McDonald worked to reduce the cost of the preventative maintenance program by developing a pre-operations checklist for each welding machine which moved a lot of the preventive maintenance program from a calendar driven program to a condition-based maintenance approach.
