Efforts of many keep ‘Project Phoenix’ moving forward
Work is ongoing at the Block 1 heater pit for the Hypersonic Test Capability Improvement (HTCI) project as night falls. A team of Arnold Engineering Development Complex engineers is heading up the HTCI Project, nicknamed “Project Phoenix.” The goal of the project is to transform the J-5 facility at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., to support future hypersonic weapon acquisition and research and development programs.
