AFSC Spotlight

Kait Kampmeyer, a child and youth program assistant at Child Development Center West, has worked at Tinker for a little over a year. She recently did an experiment called “Glitter Germs” with the children in her classroom to show them how important it is to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds to get all the glitter germs off. She’s also helping the kids adjust to a new normal by explaining why some of their friends aren’t at school right now and why the teachers wear face masks. The best part of her job is having conversations with the kids and seeing the world through the eyes of a three-year-old. In her free time, the Lake City, Florida, native enjoys reading, walking her dogs, being outside and spending time with her kids.
