17: Women in the Air Force transition Shade 1

1947 - 1950s: Women in the Air Force transitional uniform. Khaki Shade #1 Women in the Air Force (Women in the Air Force) Service Dress Uniform, also a World War II uniform used in the transition period of the Air Force. Note: the transition insignia 24kt gold (U.S., and prop and wings). Also, a new addition to the enlisted uniform are the enlisted chevrons issued in 1948. The buttons display the Air Force seal and are gold plated.
