Hurricane Michael
On Oct. 10, 2018, Hurricane Michael caused massive devastation at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. This satellite image, captured by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, shows the category 5 hurricane moving in for an almost direct hit at Tyndall. The Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Natural Disaster Recovery Division is moving forward with plans to rebuild the base as the Air Force’s Installation of the Future. (Photo courtesy of NOAA)
