AFWERX AFVentures enhances SBIR/STTR program to increase tech transition

New for fiscal year 2023, AFWERX AFVentures offers a repeatable annual cycle for Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer, or SBIR/STTR, open topic solicitations with Phase I solicitations every January and August and Direct to Phase II, or D2P2, solicitations in March and October. This change will give small businesses more time for proposals and improve predictability in the cycle. Previously, Department of the Air Force SBIR/STTR solicitations followed the Office of the Secretary of Defense three-cycle SBIR solicitation schedule. (U.S. Air Force graphic / AFWERX).
