Field training exercise demonstrates value of deployable engineers
A Scientist and Engineer Demand Force Team, or SEDFT, based in the Air Force Research Laboratory's Munitions Directorate, constructs a self-driving vehicle to transport supplies at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Nov. 9, 2023. The team built the vehicle as a solution to a simulated base attack challenge resulting in a decrease in manpower, demonstrating the value of adding a specialized team of deployable scientists and engineers to high-action air bases.
