Air Force connecting the Navy
ALI BASE, Iraq -- Staff Sgt. Javiel Ladines, 407th Expeditionary Communications Squadron network technician, separates wires that will be inserted into a cross connector enabling a phone connection Aug. 8, 2008. The 407th ECS "Wire Dogs" installed fiber optics inside a new building that the Navy will use. By installing the fiber optics, they are giving telephone and Internet connections to the Navy which enables them to continue their mission during transitions. Sergeant Ladines is deployed from Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Christopher Griffin)
