Lorna Estep, right, coins Mae Krier, also known as ‘Rosie the Riveter’, following a ceremony in which Krier received the Logistics Officer Association Lifetime Achievement Award, March 15, 2022. Krier worked on B-17 Flying Fortresses and B-29 Superfortresses at the Boeing plant in Seattle, Washington during World War II. Krier was instrumental in the establishment of National Rosie the Riveter Day and the passing of the 2020 Rosie the Riveter Congressional Gold Medal Act.
