Air Force Opens First AFwerX Campus in Las Vegas

Vice President Mike Pence introduced the opening of the first AFwerX campus in Las Vegas, Jan. 11, 2018. AFwerX Vegas is modeled after the successful Air Force Special Operations Command initiative SOFwerX and fosters innovation to bring new ideas together from any source. They will work directly with the Air Warfare Center at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada to develop future technology, with plans to open a second campus in Austin, Texas.
