The 325th Fighter Wing and the Air Force Civil Engineer Center will host the first Virtual Industry Exchange on June 12, 2020 to explore possible mixed-use commercial development at Tyndall AFB. The virtual exchange forum provides industry the opportunity to collaborate with the Air Force to advance the redevelopment of Tyndall through the Enhanced Use Lease Program (EUL). An EUL is a lease agreement between the Air Force and public entities or private developers to create mutually beneficial commercial projects on non-excess, underutilized Air Force real estate. Expired DOD ID’s and Common Access Cards

Due to Coronavirus Disease 2019, the Department of Defense has taken actions to reduce visits to DoD identification card offices for basic actions such as renewal of expiring credentials, reissuing of dependents or retiree ID cards, and reissuing of an ID or common access cards for name or rank changes. These changes will remain in effect until Sept. 30.

FAA grants AFRL waiver to operate SkyVision technology to advance UAS research

The Air Force Research Laboratory in partnership with the Life Cycle Management Center has a newly established test site to fly Unmanned Aerial Vehicles from beyond visual line of sight. The technology known as SkyVision allows for safe, effective operation of UAVs by detecting and avoiding other aircraft while in flight through the use of radar feeds from local airports. In simple terms, SkyVision is an air traffic control system for UAS and will allow the lab to test defense-related UAS technologies without reliance on spotters or chase aircraft.
